Isaiah Remed Nathaniel stands beside the latrine he constrcuted in December 2016. He received a latrine kit consisting of the tools and materials needed to build the latrine, a process which took one week. Since the latrine was constructed, Isaiah says he and his family of eight have been healthier. He and his family are from South Sudan and though there are challenge sto life in Uganda, he says they are happy to be in Uganda "because there is at least peace." In refugee settlements in Moyo, Uganda, CLWR is improving refugees' access to shelters and latrines. When households have their own latrines, they experience improved hygiene, access and safety.
