More about Syrian Refugee Relief
HELP PROTECT SYRIA’S MOST VULNERABLE
Your donations will be matched through the Canadian government's Syria Emergency Relief Fund up to February 29, 2016.
We are urgently asking for your help to provide support to families, especially children and youth, whose lives have been devastated by the violent civil war in Syria.
CLWR, through The Lutheran World Federation (LWF), is providing support to Syrian refugees living in urban areas in northern Jordan and in the Za'atari refugee camp. Many refugees have witnessed intensifying violence, are enduring the loss of homes, jobs, and loved ones, and are working to cope with difficult conditions wherever they have sought refuge.
Donations will go where needed most. For example, funds could provide clothing, personal and household hygiene supplies, and food vouchers for the most vulnerable people. It could support peace building initiatives and vocational training for women. It could rehabilitate schools and provide school supplies to children, or it could help provide psychosocial support to youth and young adults.
For those interested in sponsoring Syrian refugees to come to Canada, please contact Fikre Tsehai, CLWR’s Development Manager for Refugee Resettlement, at 1.888.588.6686, or Jennifer Ardon, CLWR’s Project Officer for Refugee Resettlement, at 1.888.255.0150.
